Strength for Today

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will and not be faint.  (Isaiah 40:31)

All of us have moments that we feel drained.  All of us suffer through difficult days, trying times, and perplexing periods of our lives.  Thankfully, God stands ready and willing to give us comfort and strength if we turn to Him.

Like many families, we live such a busy life.  Me and Dan always try to keep our schedule in check, using our Outlook Calendar and a paper calendar posted on our refrigerator as one of our major tools.  Often times it works for us, but today was one of those days that our schedule got the best of us!  From Dan having to get Sierra to cheer practice, to Shain to football team film, to getting mom to an unexpected doctors appointment and to me making it to a 9am meeting.... all this in just a couple of hours!  Of course, Dan could hear the panic in my voice as I was talking to him.  An hour later, I get a text from my wonderful husband.

"Hi Babey, I'm sorry about earlier!  Talk about a full plate.  I prayed and the Lord provided.  Everything is taken care of..kids, doctors, food.  Love you"

If you're like us with too many demands and too few hours in which to meet them, don't fret.  Instead, focus upon God and upon His love for us.  Then, ask Him for the wisdom to prioritize your life and the strength to fulfill your responsibilities.  God will give you the energy to do the most important things on your to-do list.... if you ask Him.
