Family Life

As every women knows, family life is a mixture of conversations, meditations, irritations, deliberations, commiserations, frustrations, negotiations and celebrations.  In other words, the life of the typical mom is incredibly varied.

Tonight as I reflect on my day, I have alot of mixed emotions.  I attended the service and burial of my Uncle Joe.  My heart especially went out to my cousin Lester and his wife Evy, along with my Aunty Lety as they sent their beloved father and husband home to be with our Father.  Through the tears, I couldn't help but be so proud of my cousin Lester.  The way he comforted his wife and mom and how he held his family together.  He displayed every aspect of a true Christian.  I know as Uncle Joe looked down on his son.. he himself is overwhelmed and truly proud of Lester.

Certainly, in the life of every family, there are moments of frustrations and disappointments.  Lots of them.  But, for me and my family, I am very lucky enough to live in the presence of a close-knit caring clan, the rewards far outweigh the frustrations.  That's why we pray fervently for our family members, and that's why we love them despite it all.

No family is perfect.  But, despite the inevitable challenges our family is God's gift to us!  That little band of men, women, kids, and babies is a priceless treasure on temporary loan from the Father above.  Give thanks to the Giver for the gift of family!

Our prayers and love go out to the Berano family.  May you find peace and comfort through our Saviour Jesus Christ.  Place all of your worries with the Lord - all He will make things right!

  1. Hey cuz, thanks for sharing your heart and dedicating this blog for our Ohana. This is your cousin Les on Evy's laptop and too lazy to boot up my desktop. So thank you again for your prayers and everlasting love.
